ADEC Kenya receives ISO 27001:2013 Certification

20 October 2020

ADEC Kenya was recently awarded the ISO 27001:2013 Certification for Information Security Management by TUV Rheinland Philippines after an Extension Audit last September 17, 2020.

ADEC Innovations CEO James M. Donovan said, "Information security is a prerequisite to doing business in our space and it underpins all our operations.  We treat clients' data with the same care as if it were our own—that is the only way to build long-lasting relationships."

International Organization for Standards (ISO) 27001:2013 is the benchmark for Information Security Management System (ISMS) which allows organizations to oversee their security assets like financial information, intellectual property, employee details, or information entrusted to it by third parties.

ADEC Kenya’s Site Director George Vastardis explains, "The certification is a validation of the safeguards and controls that we have put in place in our Kenya operations.  And that these operate at the same standard as the rest of the company’s other locations."

Mark Barro, VP for Standards and Compliance, added that "the certification covers processes and procedures that are in place and strengthens our clients' confidence that we have a safe and secure infrastructure environment."

The certification is a collaboration between ADEC Kenya and ADEC Innovations’ other locations and comes after a comprehensive gap assessment and peer audit.  It exemplifies ADEC Innovations’ overall thrust of providing excellent service delivery from its offices in fourteen countries in six continents.
